The technical manuals on the Parker Collector website only had information regarding grading hammerless shotguns and there are no grade marks on mine where they would be found on the hammerless guns. If anyone could figure out the grade and provide approximate value I'd appreciate it. I did sign up for the Parker Brothers collector forum but still waiting for my account to be approved. If it has any real value I'll probably end up giving it to my dad. I've decided not to sell the shotgun at this time until more information can be learned. I haven't been able to determine the grade yet but was able to find the manufacture date of 1884. Was trying to do a little more research on it for the listing description where I learned there are many different grades and they have quite the collector's following. I've had this sitting the back of the safe for months and months and was going to put it on Gunbroker tonight for a penny. 1 frame DHE grade SxS sporting gun manufactured in 1917 serial number 176844 scroll engraved frame with pointing. ![]()
